Protection of Large Capacitor Banks

ABSTRACT
Large capacitor banks, as unded in many pulsed plasma experiments, are
subject to catastrophic failure in the event of a chort in the output
or in an individual capacitor. Methods are described for minimizing the
damage and down time caused by such a failure.
